Smart Campus IPN has been created with the main objective of supporting mobility on the Zacatenco campus of the National Polytechnic Institute.This mobile application receives data related to public transportation that operates in the vicinity of the National Polytechnic Institute Unidad Zacatenco.
This data comes from the Mexico City GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) feed, obtained from the Mexico City Open Data Portal.The operation of the mobile application is as follows: • When you start the mobile application, a progress bar will appear, during this time all the data is obtained and stored.
This process may take approximately 30 seconds.
• Once the data download and storage process is complete, a text will appear indicating that a stop can be selected (stops are indicated on the map with a red circle).
• If the user wishes, they can see their location on the map by pressing the floating button located at the bottom right of the map (if this is rejected, when pressed, the map will center).
The users location will be shown on the map through a blue circle.
• Once a stop has been selected, the list of trips available for it will appear at the bottom, and it will also indicate whether wheelchairs have access to that stop.
• Finally, you obtain the map of the selected trip, in addition to the list of stops and the approximate arrival time for each one.
If the selected trip has real-time information, the real-time location of the units is indicated on the map through a black circle.
• NOTE: Currently, real-time information is offered only by the public transportation agency Metrobús.
